21 Week Baby Bumpdate: It’s a….

So last week, I mentioned that this week would be a big one. I think outside of birth, this is the one thing I anticipated more than anything else last time, and this time as well. We had an ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby. So without further adieu, I give you this video announcement:

It’s a Girl!

This little girl is one heck of an acrobat already, and she’s growing on target, has a strong heartbeat and is otherwise doing well. We’re really excited!

Now that we know it’s a girl, that means some changes to the room assignments around here. We initially had planned to put the nursery in what was the boys’ room, because it’s bigger. But now we’re planning to switch so Ja’Naya can share a room with her new little sister. I’m not sure if I’m ready to share the name we’ve picked yet, but I’ll do that in time.

For now, I’m just thankful that I can put a name to the flutters and kicks in my tummy and imagine what our new princess will look like. If history is any indication, she’ll look a whole lot like my hubby, with my complexion.

And now that almost nothing in my closet fits comfortably, I have to do some shopping for maternity clothes. Time to head to ASOS. Yay!
