Surprise! I Won a 12-Month Stash of Moksa Organics Soaps!

I am a bit obsessive when it comes to organic soaps. They are among few things that I buy just for me, and my husband and daughter can attest to the fact that I’m a little possessive of them. So imagine how happy I was when I learned a few weeks ago that I was one of two winners of the Moksa Organics fan giveaway on Facebook! The prize: A year’s worth of free soap.

Moksa has been on my radar for quite some time according to recent reviews, but I’d never gotten around to trying their products. In addition to soaps, they also make organic lotions, bath salts and oils. And like any product that would meet my standards, these contain no parabens, sulfates, synthetic ingredients, animal byproducts, artificial preservatives or fragrances. In other words, as they have so eloquently stated on their website, “Yep! You can pronounce all the words in the ingredient list!”

So what does a 12-month supply of soap look like? Here are some quick photos I snapped of my new stash. Please forgive the poor quality. I took these with my phone:

I’ve only tried one so far — Bohemian Forest — and I LOVE it! The fragrance is a mix of birch, cedarwood, ylang-ylang, vetiver and lemongrass, and it can best be described as a mild minty fragrance. It is subtle at first, but once you continue to use the soap and the organic ingredients are released, it becomes more powerful, and almost intoxicating (in the best way possible). I genuinely look forward to showers so I can use this soap, and I’m itching to try all the others.

At $6.50 a bar, the soap is more affordable than many brands I’ve come across, and the experience is equally as luxurious. Moksa, you have found a lifetime fan in me!

Why It’s Green:

  • Products are free of parabens, sulfates, synthetic ingredients, animal byproducts, artificial preservatives and fragrances.
  • Packaging made from 100% post consumer waste

Price: $6.50-18
