As the holidays approach each year, one of the things I most look forward to is taking our annual family photo. It’s a tradition that gives the whole family an excuse to dress up for one afternoon — even if it’s just for our own camera on a tripod.
Of course, this means that I’m already planning our outfits in my head. But I recently got an opportunity to bring that planning into real life with a shopping trip at OshKosh B’gosh. And how could I say no to that? I remember growing up with OshKosh overalls, and they were one of the brands I most trusted when shopping for my older daughter. Now that she’s sized out of their clothes, this shopping trip was all about baby Juliza. We snagged her outfit for our family photo, along with some other goodies that we couldn’t pass up.
The holiday photo outfit
I may be a tiny bit biased, but isn’t she just the cutest?
I knew I wanted a tutu skirt, and OshKosh had a great selection in store. In fact, even though my local store is a bit small, there were tons of holiday-ready options for me to choose from. Including these silver glitter-toe oxfords, which I snatched up the second I spotted them. Because how could I not, right?
I’m going to have entirely too much fun finding ways for her to wear these, and I love that I can count on them to be durable as she perfects her new favorite skill: Walking. They’re solid enough to give her a firm base to stand on, but not so hard that her feet will be uncomfortable. I bought a size up so they’ll continue to fit throughout the winter.
The had-to-have-it overalls
If there’s one item that I comes to mind first when I think of OshKosh B’gosh, it’s overalls. The classic style pretty much synonymous with the brand, and lo and behold, they’re even on trend for adults (who aren’t farmers) right now. So you can imagine my delight when I spotted these tulle-bottom overalls for 50% off! Crazy as it may sound, I’m wishing they came in my size. Because how fly would we be in our matching overalls? I dare say too fly!
The Warm and Casual Look
Her final outfit is more appropriate for everyday wear. Â My lil’ mama is a chunky one. Case in point: She’s only 10 months old, but most of the clothes we got are 18 months in sizing. We needed to get her some jeans, but in my experience, traditional button-up jeans just don’t fit very well around her round little tummy. These jeggings are the perfect compromise. We went up a size to 24 months just to make sure they’d fit nicely around her belly. They have the perfect amount of stretch in the waist and through the legs. Â And the silver sweatshirt? Well, we had to get something else to wear with the oxfords.
Speaking of the oxfords, her chubby little hands playing with one of the shoes may well be the cutest thing I’ve seen today. Well…the second cutest.
More than anything else, I love that these clothes will undoubtedly last as long as they can fit her. Because I trust OshKosh’s quality, I know I’ll be able to throw these in the wash, because she is a baby, after all, and they’ll still look good enough to hand down or consign once they’re too small for baby Juliza. They’ve been around since 1895 and their clothes are available in sizes from newborn to 12.

Right now, OshKosh B’gosh is running their #GiveHappy campaign, which aims to help us celebrate the holidays by remembering the simple joys of childhood. My family will do our own version of #GiveHappy by sharing some OshKosh love with a family friend who is expecting a little girl any day now. I’m only too happy to help her take advantage of the array of super cute baby clothes they have to offer.
