Kid Style: Soft Organic Clothing + Giveaway!

She’s wearing: SOFT organic Stacy snap-front dress  |  Sam & Libby flats from Target

When it comes to organic clothes for kids, there is a dead zone from about size 8 until they’re big enough to wear adult sizes as if they should wear just onesies during that period (funny enough but onesies are available in all sizes at Finding organic options for babies is easy — though it can be a challenge to find stuff that’s affordable enough to be worth it. Baby Juliza has been outgrowing sizes within a month or two, so I try not to spend too much on her clothes. But for my older daughter, who wears each size for about a year (or more), there just aren’t very many companies making clothes to fit her. She’s only 8, but she’s tall and curvy, so she’s between a size 10 and 14, depending on the cut. There’s just not a lot in that size range.

When I discovered Soft clothing, I thought I’d hit the jackpot. Their clothes are stylish (my daughter and I LOVE the mixed patterns in this dress), kid-appropriate, comfortable, and best of all, they offer a ton of organic options. They’re also made with flat seams, non-toxic dyes and without tags so as not to aggravate kids who have sensory issues. Ja’Naya said this dress is really soft and comfortable, and that it felt like wearing pajamas to go out. Sounds great to me!

Their clothes start at size 2/3 and go all the way up to size 12. However, the Spring collection will only go up to size 8. I’m really crossing my fingers that they decide to continue making clothes up to size 12 so that older kids can benefit too. Ja’Naya loves this dress (can you tell?), and I’m going to grab some of the other items in size 12 from their clearance section before they’re gone.

Still, I’ll be keeping my eye on Soft either way for when the baby is big enough to wear their clothes. I’m really impressed by the quality of the fabric, and for this style-savvy mama and girl, it helps that their clothes also look fabulous. Ja’Naya has been dipping her toe into pattern mixing, so she loved that she could do it this time without having to think about it.

Now, I want to share the love.

  1. My wife would probably love picking something out for our daughter from their site, either a skirt or a dress.

    Thanks for the chance!

  2. I love the mixed prints! Sometimes it is hard to know how to mix prints so they don’t clash but this adds a lot of ease! My son loves soft clothing, comfortable and durable. Our favorite items are their soft tees and their soft jeans.

  3. I love the Carla Sun Dress. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.

  4. I have actually never heard of this company before. All there clothes are adorable. I would need to go on a shopping spree for my nieces. I adore the Anna Tiered Skirt.

  5. I love the GREGORY SWEATPANTS. I am potty training my son and he insists on soft pants. He hates jeans because they are hard to get on and off so these would be a great good looking pair of soft pants.
