Maternity Outfit: Lovely Layers

I didn’t really plan to shoot an outfit post this weekend, but I put this outfit together and really liked it, so I figured “what the heck?”

I’ve had this ruffled sweater vest for almost a year, but I couldn’t decide how to wear it. Then I forgot about it. I spent the weekend with my mom and threw this in my overnight bag at the last minute for no particular reason. I’m glad I did, because I realized when I put on this top that it would be the perfect layer on top of it.

For the record, I’m generally terrible at layering, but I just thought this worked. I wore the one pair of jeggings I have that still fit over my baby bump and my favorite boots. The result was a church outfit that kept me warm but not overheated on a day that was cool, but not cold.

And I can already tell I’m going to wear this a few times before the baby comes 🙂
