So, I’ve been planning to get back in the habit of doing weekly outfit posts, but that hasn’t exactly happened. What can I say? My growing body has made it difficult to wear all the fabulous outfits I have planned in my head because — ummm — they don’t fit. And since my maternity wardrobe is still pretty small, I’ve been improvising with some of the fall/winter items already in my closet that have some stretch.

Take this Old Navy dress, for example. I’ve had it for more than a year, and it is super comfy. And thanks to the fact that I wore it a lot last fall and winter, it has acquired some extra stretch and roominess — which made it the perfect maternity dress. Paired with a denim jacket and my favorite comfy boots, I actually look like I tried instead of just throwing on whatever happens to fit — which is what happens a lot these days.

I make no promises about doing better with my baby bump style posts in the future, but since I’ll eventually have to add some more maternity pieces to my closet, I figure I may as well plan a couple outfits while I’m at it. And if you have an maternity style posts that you love, feel free to link to them in the comments. I’m definitely in need of some inspiration!

    You look amazing!!!!!

I tried my best not to buy maternity clothes when I was pregnant, so I definitely feel you on stretching the regular wardrobe lol

Thank you Jheanell! I am trying so hard not to buy any maternity clothes, but I’m pushing it, because most of my fall and winter stuff just won’t work. In about a month, I’ll have no choice but to go shopping 🙂

Cute! Maternity {and faux maternity} wear is so adorable now. I looked like a pilgrim who’d fallen in a floral shop when I was pregnant. Tragic. LOL

Daenel, you have to warn me when you’re going to make me almost choke on a glass of water! “A pilgrim who’d fallen in a floral shop”? Thank you for the visual! lmao
