I don’t know if you can tell, but I can’t WAIT for spring! The weather in Georgia is a big tease. We’ll have a day or two in the 60s, but then it will drop back down to the 30s and even 20s for a full week just to remind me that we’re not there yet. This week, I decided that if spring wouldn’t come to me, I’d create my own spring with my outfit.
This dress is a big statement about how far I’ve come in terms of body confidence. Not only does it feature a very bold, noticeable floral print, but it’s also a body con dress — something I NEVER would’ve worn a year ago. I never thought I could feel comfortable, or even less, confident, in something so form fitting, but you know what? I felt beautiful and sexy.
The length of the dress was a bit awkward for me, as it hit me at mid-calf. I couldn’t decide what shoes to wear, and nothing looked “right” — until I put on my favorite Aerosoles riding boots. They felt like the perfect complement to the dress and kept me warm on a chilly not-yet-spring day.
I needed something special, so I added a neon pink crossbody bag from Target that I am absolutely in LOVE with. It’s not as big as my typical everyday bags, but I can carry all the necessities. And frankly, it’s cute enough to make me leave all of the “stuff” I usually carry in my larger purses at home.
Seriously though, spring needs to get a move on. I already have at least a handful of warm weather outfits planned in my head, and I’m getting really impatient to wear them
