I completely missed doing an outfit post last week. To be honest, I was just lazy and didn’t feel like dressing up. But who says I need to dress up to take pictures and feel good about what I’m wearing? Some days, it’s definitely more important to be comfortable than it is to be stylish. Still, that doesn’t mean I have to completely forgo one to achieve the other.

This sweater is my current favorite because the sleeves are long enough to skim the palms of my hands and it hugs my curves, but isn’t skin tight. I’m super comfy, but I still feel like a lady in it. I love these high-waisted jeans because: 1. They’re a size 14! and 2. The fit and length are fabulous. It’s rare that I find thrifted bottoms that fit like a glove, so when I do, I snatch them up in a hurry.

I also wanted to add a pop of color somewhere. My husband gave me these red TOMS shoes for Christmas, and they are the epitome of comfort, particularly because they come with built-in arch support for my flat feet and weak arches. More importantly though, for every pair of TOMS sold, the company gives a pair of shoes to a child in need. For that reason alone, I’d buy 100 pairs if I could.

So while this may not be my fanciest outfit of the day look or the epitome of high fashion, I was comfortable, I looked good and I felt good — all the mark of a successful outfit.
