Do you ever just need a pick-me-up? I do. Often. This yellow Peter Pan collar wool-blend coat from Old Navy is just that: A ray of sunshine on a cloudy winter day.

This coat makes every outfit feel like I’m playing dress up, so this time, I really did dress up. Just a little.

It took me a while to decide how to style the coat, but in the end, I settled for wool, chiffon and leather. A little bit sweet, a little bit sassy. Much like me

I never thought I’d be wearing anything designed by the Kardashian family, but I bought this Kardashian Kollection chiffon pussybow blouse at Sears on Black Friday, and I’ve been itching to wear it because I love the silhouette of the sleeves. I’m not sure whether I prefer the look with or without the coat, but the fact that I love both options tells me I did something right!

Paired with leather look leggings and pointed toe pumps — thrifted, no less — I felt like quite the fashionista. I felt like a woman in control of my day — and my destiny. Any outfit that makes me feel that way is a keeper!
