At my house, we love the Box Tops for Education program. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s a simple way for families to help their kids’ schools earn extra money. All you have to do is clip Box Tops coupons from participating products and turn them in to your school. My daughter gets excited every time she sees a product with Box Tops on it, and she loves collecting them and turning them in to her teacher. Plus, if you join their website, you can earn eBoxTopsâ„¢ for your school when you shop online and track your school’s earnings.
So when we went shopping for school supplies at Walmart the other day, she was overjoyed to see that lots of products now feature bonus Box Tops for the back to school season. We bought a box of Nature Valley granola bars and a box of Scooby Doo fruit snacks, each with 4 box tops. While I would love to make fresh, healthy snacks without packaging for my daughter to take to school every day, I honestly just don’t have the time most mornings. So these will come in handy because I can just throw them in her lunch bag. The fact that they come with extra box tops is just icing on the cake.
But you’ll find Box Tops on products of all types, including items for breakfast, lunch and dinner — from Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers to Cheerios and Yoplait Smoothies. In fact, I even found Box Tops on a couple of aluminum foil cake pans I bought a few days ago. But keep in mind that you’ll only find BONUS box tops at Walmart. Each of the products mentioned above comes with 4 box tops.
While I know we should be buying less packaged food (and we do, in fact, buy a lot less than we used to), I can ease my conscience a little with the knowledge that our purchases will help fund my daughter’s education.
