Beautiful Basics for the Eco-Fashionista from K. Grace

I have never considered myself to be a fashionista. Don’t get me wrong — I like looking good, and I can put together outfits that are flattering on me. But I’m no trend setter, and I am more comfortable in jeans and a cute t-shirt than anything else. Still, I do like to get dressed up every now and again, and I know great pieces when I see them.

These high-quality pieces from K. Grace are what I’d consider to be a great basis for an eco-chic wardrobe.

They are simple enough to work with a variety of different looks, and even the dresses can be worn for most of the year. In the fall and winter, they can be worn with tights and boots, and with strappy sandals in the spring and summer. They can be accessorized differently depending on the occasion, and because of that, they can work in your wardrobe today, and for years to come.

And the passion behind K. Grace founder Kamilah Cole’s decision to make her line eco-friendly is more than a little commendable:

When we started researching about the injustices (to people and the earth) that occurred so that one could buy a shirt for $15, we knew K.Grace couldn’t contribute to that. We feel that our customers will appreciate how important it is that we create clothing that is long lasting, on-trend but not trendy, that is made at a fair-trade factory with eco-friendly fabrics. We only have one earth, let’s treat it right!

Personally, that’s the kind of passion and environmental commitment I hope to find in the companies I patronize. Add to that the fact that k. grace makes beautiful clothes, and I think we’ve got a winning combination!
